About Hayley…

From the snowy north of Canada, Hayley Simpson has spent over a decade writing, performing, and creating stories that balance sharp humor with genuine heart. Known for her dark-comedy writing style, she’s built a career that crosses from the stage to the screen and into the world of video games.

A graduate of Humber College’s Comedy Writing and Performance program, Hayley has written and performed across North America, working with comedy icons like Andrea Martin (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Robyn Duke (Saturday Night Live), and Allan Guttman (Second City).

Currently you can see her work as a Narrative Designer and Writer for Visual Concepts / 2K Games, helping craft the stories, dialogue, and character arcs for the WWE 2K video game franchise. Her writing brings a mix of goofy humor and authenticity to a series known for its over-the-top energy and dramatic storytelling.

Outside the world of game development, Hayley’s storytelling extends into voice acting, where she’s voiced characters such as Brynya (Double Damage), O’lorae (Closing Time), and Cori Dupri (Outbreak Contamination). Her performances blend warmth, wit, and a knack for finding the humanity in even the strangest of worlds and smallest characters.

When she’s not writing for wrestlers or stepping behind the mic, Hayley continues to create stories that champion diverse perspectives and voices through her writing and teaching improv through her love of table top RPGs. Find her playing Dungeons & Dragons, or Mothership on a podcast near you!

Hayley Simpson is a storyteller at heart. Whether through a punchline, a game narrative, or a character’s voice, she’s always looking for the next story worth telling.
